I blew my interior lights fuse when I changed one of my map light bulbs somehow. It's a 7.5A fuse, can't remember the number off hand. I'm pretty sure it's labeled "Room Lights" or something like that.

Speaking of which, does anyone know where to get these? I eventually broke down and bought them from the stealership, for $5 a piece because I couldn't find them ANYWHERE! I would prefer LED's. the original bulbs didn't have anything written on them so I didn't even know where to start to look. On top of all, the bulbs I got from the stealership are not bright what so freaking ever. and they flicker.

What size is the bulb?? i got a 57 from o'reillys the other day kinda fits but it still fall out when i turn sometimes.

The fuse is there to protect the circuit, worst case scenario the circuit catches fire.
My advice NEVER put a larger amp rated fuse where it ain't supposed to be...
Try to find the real reason behind why the fuse keeps blowin' out.
Just my 10 cents, take it or leave it

the 57 i bought doesnt quite fit in there... like its not quite big enough to stay in place so it falls when i make turns.. as for your bulb what brand was it? my bulb was a sylvanina

The map light uses a non-standard bulb that you can only get through the dealer. It is a higher wattage lamp (9 watts IIRC) and is brighter than anything you can buy in a parts store. It does use a standard package, BA9, so you can get lamps that will fit in there.
Because Nissan decided to wire the lamp socket in reverse polarity of every other lamp socket, it is easy to blow the fuse. Since the side of the lamp socket is 12 volts and the bottom is ground, all you have to do is angle the bulb wrong when you take it out or put it in and POOF no more fuse. And because the lamp is in such a tight space and is made from such cheap metal, you can bend the socket out of shape and the lamp falls out or the tab that touches the bottom gets bent and does not make contact.
If you put in a led lamp, most of them won't work because of the reverse polarity. You have to rewire the socket for led's.

Or you could get a lamp from Superbright LEDs. Most of their lamps aren't polarized and would work without any messing around.

I saw a thread on someone doing this. They had to take the light housing off of the car and work from the back side to cut and re-solder the wires.

Also would the product, in the picture below, work or is it one that would probably need the wires switched?

Thanks, that's what i'll do lol. You wouldn't be able to recommend any specific one from their site would you? I don't want to be the one to end up picking up the one that is polarized lol. And the bulb for the front map light is ba9s right? Is this one good?

On the 2nd photo, you don't need this kit with all its extra pieces. You get a BA9 base bulb and it plugs right in.

The map light is a BA9 base so the ones in the 1st photo would fit. Read the description carefully. Since most of their lamps are not polarized, there is no mention of polarity. You will only see reference to polarity if the lamp is polarized.

I didnt place my festoon leds in correctly the first time, nothing shorted, it just didnt turn on. I flipped the bulb around and it worked perfectly. Now I just got the BA9s led bulb, and it seems to be too small for the map light. It doesn't work and just kind of hangs, it doesnt fit securely. If BA9s is the right bulb, why isn't it working, and why does it seem to small? And I got the same BA9s led I posted in the pic a few posts up.
