auto car wash damage

well i just made a move from kentucky to charlotte nc. My car was filthy so i took it to one of those car washes where u pay 5 bucks and get the vaccumes free. Well i went in the wash bay and i heard a loud pop got out the other side and this damage was done. The owner and i talked he said he needed to review the tape to see if the damage was pre existing. He looked at the tape and said it wasnt. So now im waiting on corporate to sign off on the funds to fix it. Just thought i would throw this out there for others to learn from my mistake

What actually caused the damage? At least they didn't try to say it was pre-existing without looking at the tape. That would've been BS.

Thats crazy! Thats the type of thing that would make me flip $h!t. I never had much luck with the automatic car washes, they always seem to miss the bottom half of the car, which obviously wasnt the case for you. Sounds like the company is going to pay for the repair, either way I would stay away from them. Good luck!

I never go to automatic car washes, only hand washed, or do it myself for me.

Agreed! Pay my $15 for my hand wash and detail cleaning and I am proud of it...or either do myself when I have the time.
