How the heck do you clean this dash?!

Ok..stupid question I know. But still, I notice regular Amorall works good on the top part of the dash. But what about the black plastic trim that goes from my climate control, around my BOSE, all the way down to my shifter? I have a friend with a 96GXE who apparently used Amorall or something like it on his car and it came out all streaky.

I seem to have all "oil spots" from my finger tips on this plastic...especially around my BOSE. Does anyone know how to clean without streaks?

I used water based cleaner on the dash and a good window cleaner on the rest. It works well for me since I have a dash kit. I'm just really careful around the radio and climate control...It cleans it up well though and doesn't do any damage. Just don't use some heavy duty cleaner...don't wanna take the writing off the buttons!

Armor All is not a cleaner!!! You should wipe down your dash with a mild cleaner first (I use diluted simple green) and then put on armor all. The part around the center console, I do the same thing, clean it and then put on some armor all.

Armor All looks terrible on the plastic trim. I use only a cleaner for the plastic.

A damp rag.....uh.....that didn't sound right.

I vaccum the the car and use a detailers brush to brush out all the AC grills and really tight places while hold the nozzle of the shop vac close to the tip of the brush. This way it just catches all the dust being kicked out. Then I usually just wipe everything down with a damp chamios. About every month I will apply a light coat of Low Gloss Armorall, but only on the dash and plasic trim. As far as the black trim in the middle, I just wipe it down every time I wash the car (every week). Hope this help.

I use a Swiffer. You can get a WET Swiffer which cleans better than any other cleaner I've ever used. 16 sheet for $4
