its kind of a pain in the butt to put in foglight bulbs on I30's. i had a 97 I30 and i removed the plastic skirt thats under the car and replaced the bulb .. but i lost some of the little grommets that hold the plastic up so part of it started hanging down and eventually the front wheels started chewing away at it and it was a huge mess, but the car was tottalled 2 months ago after someone ran into me. so im in the same situation all over again with the 98 I30 that i bought to replace it.

with all that in mind, remove the screws that hold all that black plastic to the underneath side of the car and DONT lose them. then you have to crawl under the car and you will be able to see the wires going into the back of your light. around the light there is a chrome wire peice that holds the foglight in the socket. the wire is hooked into a little hook on one side. this part will hurt your fingers. you have to push it in real hard and then unhook it and it will pop back and you can take the light out.
