For anyone with a non-US/non-canadian 4th gen Maximas
Can you please look at the picture below and tell me if your intake manfold (silver part sitting on top of the engine) looks like this?

I'm trying to figure out what countries got this intake manifold, as it's a variable capacity-type (similar to the 5th gen one) that is responsible for a 20-30 HP gain.
If your engine looks like this, please let me know what country you live in and your year/model Maxima.

Probably an ECU, wiring harness, maybe cams, maybe a whole new head, no one knows.

Unfortunately you can count Australia out, our manifolds are the same as US cars.
Most likely a part designed only for the Middle East because of the way that market prefers cars with a strong top end for constant high speeds. A run of Japanese cars would have had it fitted because manufacturers use the JDM as a test bed for practically every new innovation, and the Kiwi's eventually ended up with some when they filtered into New Zealand as second hand imports.
Thats my .02c anyway.
