Can you trace back to where it's leaking from?

You should post some pics of where the oil is leaking from; that way it will be easier for people to help you out. ics:

Would be easier to just degrease the engine thoroughly and trace the leak.

Chances are if it's actually pouring oil, then the oil pressure switch. They can get pretty bad. The last one I replaced (on my beater) pissed about 4 quarts in 10 minutes while idling.

Well there's the front seal for the crankshaft, but that would be a slow drip because there is no pressure there. I don't know how it would split really. It's not all that thick. Additionally, if you didn't notice it before you bought it, i.e. before you started it, then it would make sense that the leak is after the oil pump.

Take the front right wheel and the splash guard off so you can see the front of the engine. Hose the entire thing down with two cans of brake cleaner to get all the residual crap off. Have someone start the car while you watch to see where the oil comes from.

we have a million seals on our engines, i had my front and rear valve cover gasket done and its leaking even quicker cause i think the dip$hit forgot to put the rtv in, or not enough, or the wrong kind. id rather swap a new block in than replace all the seals that are leaking on my engine right now.

well the guy i bought it off kept moving locations on where i was looking at the car...he had a good sales technique which i fail for...which i am also a sales man but for construction equipment...plus i got the car for cheap in australia these maximas especially the 30GV as its the fully optioned with everything...and he had receipts for everything it has a brand new water pump, new active suspension ect ect...i called him and he said that the leak isnt that bad which i am kind exaggerating on the leak...since i have bought it i havent had to put oil yet which it has been 4 days...its still on full......i called him anyway and he said take it to the mechanic on the receipts he has always looked after this car....i gave the mechanic a call and he said the same thing its the crank seal and he quoted to fix that 9 months ago and the owner never came back......its only $100-$150 to fix....the owner was tight on his money i guess....its just dripping bit by bit...but not effecting it too much just makes my driveway messy....

now instead of having major oil leak issues...my car has the usual second hand minor oil leak here and there.....i will fix those when i get the time...they are not pissing out...the mechanic told me the car is still in very good nic considering it has 240.000kms on the clock....he said it could use a nice oil and tranny flush.....he said to just fix the smaller leaks later as they wont do much inbetween changes...as far as i am concerned i am a very happy person right now...i can start modding the little things that i been wanting to do....
