Here is my tip:
replace the hood struts. They are like 20 bucks total. To remove, is one nut on each side of the strut.
EDIT:
Lol @ NJ.
@ the OP for tryin to buy a hood prop. Hell was u thinkin

Yes i do, I used a nut on each side and slightly longer bolts. I don't have any numbers on if this reduces engine temps but I figured It cant hurt. I just have it raised slightly so its not riced out sitting 3 inces off the rest of the body, i'll get pics up later today.

My bad...i thought the OP meant a stick too. I been to a bunch of JYs around my area and have seen wrecked cars with hood props (sticks) installed and to me its jus wrong...
I amend my earlier statements.
Use washers and a longer bolt as others have stated.
In for pics.

Thanks guys, I did it... Not crazy about it, initially that is, but it's ok...
I used 2 inch 13mm bolts, with 1/2 inch nylon spacers, it's neat and clean cut, but i'm not slammed, i'm only 2.2 and 1.8 with s-techs, so ill have to get used to it I guess, plus i'm on 18'' 09' max oems... Sorry for the miscomunication on the "hood prop" phrase HA!
