Here is my tip:

replace the hood struts. They are like 20 bucks total. To remove, is one nut on each side of the strut.

EDIT:

Lol @ NJ.

I'm just bored, I think it looks good personally, so ya know, why not?
I'm talking about spacers on the hood bolts cashoit, to lift up the back of your hood (like a cowl)

Yes i do, I used a nut on each side and slightly longer bolts. I don't have any numbers on if this reduces engine temps but I figured It cant hurt. I just have it raised slightly so its not riced out sitting 3 inces off the rest of the body, i'll get pics up later today.

Did mine, I dont have #'s either, but I don't notice heat soak as much as I do on other 4th gens.

I like it, and damn near no-one notices it but me

My bad...i thought the OP meant a stick too. I been to a bunch of JYs around my area and have seen wrecked cars with hood props (sticks) installed and to me its jus wrong...

I amend my earlier statements.

Use washers and a longer bolt as others have stated.

In for pics.

OP, it'll look good on your car. I'm not sure how well it works though.

Thanks guys, I did it... Not crazy about it, initially that is, but it's ok...
I used 2 inch 13mm bolts, with 1/2 inch nylon spacers, it's neat and clean cut, but i'm not slammed, i'm only 2.2 and 1.8 with s-techs, so ill have to get used to it I guess, plus i'm on 18'' 09' max oems... Sorry for the miscomunication on the "hood prop" phrase HA!

View pandamax's car. His hood is propped up a bit, maybe an inch or 1.5. Just hit him up if you're interested.
