Coolant needle goes down under acceleration

It's about 87 degrees out here today, no AC on, but when I hit the gas my temp gauge needle goes down. I have a new radiator and fans and I have prestone anti freeze with water wetter in there. Today is the first day that I am noticing this problem.. Can someone tell me what this is?

Read this http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...iss-fires.html to find out how i fixed this problem. Your sensor is faulty, or the wiring near the sensor.

Drivers side of front head. There are two in the coolant "log". Its the one with a single spade terminal.

It didn't do anything last night when I was driving it though. Jen I accelerated the needle didn't move at all and today it's hot and no movement today either..

Warm up the car and have someone wiggle the wires. Is the terminal loose on the sendor? Its likely electrical and somewhere between the sendor and gauge needle. Your coolant suddenly getting colder while accerating is very unlikely. Is it a sudden movement, or gradually moving like its actually reacting to coolant temp? I bad t-stat could cause this, however you would see a high temp first, and is lot very likely either.
