HID fog lights

Just like the title says. Is this even possible? I want to throw some 3000k's in the foglights and personally i think the yellow fog light housings look stupid. If this can be done, where would I mount the ballasts? Would the lights even fit in the housing? Thanks for any input.

The stock fog light housings have such a bad beam pattern that most people don't bother to try this mod. If you did a retrofit with some small projectors like these for example: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=249

...then it would be a worthwhile upgrade.

I don't really know anything about retrofitting. To be honest I just want the color. I might even get 8000k's to match my foglights. I don't even care if they don't make a difference in vision, I just want them to be able to look nice so I can use my foglights.

The stock fogs are garbage, plain and simple. People only really put HIDs in there for cosmetic purposes. Myself personally, I put Lexus yellow capsules in there, and used halogen bulbs. It does the job....very well.

Lexus ES300 fog projectors + 3000K H3C HIDs = winning.

I'll have a set FS soon.

the stock fogs are horrible they dont work lol thats why im in the process of retroing mine i wish i had more time to finish them but i work 6 days a week night shifts. i have everything i need the acrylic, dremel, projectors, finally got some angel eyes to work with now i just wish i had time.

retroing really isnt that hard once you get the hang of it. get your self some junk parts from the junk yard and test retro thats what i did easy and cheap. heres a link to my project if you wanna know more

That's what I said. I just want to do it for cosmetic purposes for the time being because I can get a cheap h3 kit for $35 off of ebay. Maybe in the future when I have the time I'll work on a retro, but for now, can anyone actually answer the question? Where would I mount the ballasts
