I have been looking around and have not been able to find any definitive answers. I have a 97 max and want to know what seats will fit in one. I want to do a leather conversion. pics would be nice if possible so I could see what i may be getting into. -Thanks-

Bolt ins include any 95-99 Maxima or Infiniti i30 seats. Anything can be made to work with some fab though.

I have the i30 seats in my 96 SE.

2000-03 seats will fit if you swap the sliders... people have made 350 and g35 seats fit also... depends on your application... such as power or heated or not...and how much you want to spend..as stated anything can be made to fit with proper fabrication....if youre talking direct bolt in... 95-99 maximas and i30s ....ive even seen people swap the upper rear seat with a folding 5th gen setup...thats my next step... 5th gen upper in the rear with heated g #seats up front probably

I installed a front set of S14 seats in my '96 Maxima, they sit quite a bit lower, are firmer and offer better side support...a definite improvement.

However they do not bolt right in and took quite a bit of modification to fit them in, but it can be done.

The details really don't matter though as it's alot to detail up and in the end I would recommend you just go get a nice Recaro to bolt in there and be done with it.

it seems to me like any set of seats with its appropriate tracks will fit as long as the dimensions are within our limits.

Do you have any pics of this? I'd like to see how they look in a Maxima.

What about getting custom pleather covers made? I was contemplating doing this, as it's only about $150. Not as good as Infinity leather seats, but an option???

I have a '98 with '99 i30 leather seats installed. It was a one to one install with no modifications, now both seats are power as opposed to the driver seat only. I will post pics as soon as my daughter gets home with it.

We put leather from a 96 into a 97 with no issues at all, even hooked up the heated part of them.

Buyers beware, local pick up recommended. Slow to ship out items already paid for.

What's the process of swapping the sliders? Is it a PITA?

Is it possible to just change the cushions and leather from the 5th gen frames to the 4th gen frames? And the seat pan with its cushion and leather onto the 4th gen seat?
