Rusted screws on licence plate light

Rusted screws on licence plate light
My licence plate light is long burned out, and the screws are corroded big time.
Sprayed some PB Blaster but inside of screw is so corroded, I have little to grip with screwdriver.
The two screws are encased in plastic, so maybe a screw extractor bit may easily damage the fragile casing.
The cops haven't bugged me yet on the lack of light there, and not too keen on obtaining the whole light assembly at Nissan for lots of $$$.
Any advice?

Mine was the same way and I just got pulled over for the second time for not being able to read my plates. Went to advanced yesterday and bought a cheap (white) flex LED strip for ten bucks, cut off the old lights and just soldered the wires. Brighter than ever. They even have a nice 3m adhesive on the strip. I'd post a picture but its daytime... and snowing...

Definitely gonna need vice grips for it. If the bracket is rusted beyond repair, then either look up the person in the classifieds making as someone posted providing that you can save the lights. The same bracket at the dealership cost $43 without lights. Its just the metal bracket.

I really don't need the bracket, just rmoving the plastic casing to change the bulb. It sits pretty good inside behind the plate.

just chop the back of the screws off, then the lense will pop off and u can throw in some led lights for like $3, u will just need 4 new screws to replace the 1's u cut off....thats what i did and it was the easiest, least frustarting way to do it, lol
