6th gen rotors and caliper in 4th gen

Yes they fit, you need to change the calipers with the brackets and the rotors. The biggest task in the upgrade is enlarging the (4) holes in the 4th gen knuckes to accommodate for bigger caliper bracket bolts. Also you need to remove the dust shield.

So enlighten me. Why do you need to upgrade the disc brakes on the 4th gen Maxima? i mean, these are not exactly high performance track vehicles. Have you had a problem with the stock units? Mine always stopped me fast when I needed them, even avoiding a couple deer on the road at night. Locked up the wheels no problem.

Technically theres no need for bigger brakes unless youre running on the track or have a boosted maxima...however.....with bigger wheels and motor rotor surface not only does it appeal better but it also slows the car a bit faster...myself personally have wilwood front calipers with 12.6 inch rotors...
