Ignore BOSE???.. rear speaker problem

Ignore BOSE???.. rear speaker problem

ok guys ive tested and im getting 12 volts back there now what test the speakers?

Also this may seem silly, but check your fader on your headunit. Make sure it's not set to all front.

So they never worked since you got the car?

If the connections at the speakers are OK I'd probably pull the HU and make sure the connections and wiring are OK there.

Hate to beat a dead horse but before you work your butt off make absolutely certain it's not the fader setting.

If it was me I would probably cut the two wires that provide the signals to a front speaker and jump that signal to the rear speakers to see if it was my HU that was at fault or the rear speakers/wiring. Why do I get the feeling this is going to end up being something simple/stupid :-)


Is your system a Bose or the standard type HU? Bose uses an amp at each speaker, standard HU does not.

those bose speakers have there own amp, is the amp good?

youre talking about the rear stock subs right? cuz i thought 4th gens didnt have speakers in the rear doors.

well guys i got it not what i wanted to do but hey i got it. the amps where blown and so where the speakers so i put two s****y 6.5 back there and wired them to the front ones i sounds ok but not great..

Rear speakers arent super important except for the bass. As long as your fronts are still good quality then it shouldnt bother you so bad. Save for some infinitiy reference series components.....mmmmmm great clarity

Sucks, get aftermatket a real amp, and real speakers that handle like 60 watts RMS or more...

yeah get aftermarket amps and speakers ,or if low on funds go to the junk yard and pull bose amps out of a junker

Ok guys thanks for the help i have a budget of like 150 to get a new setup can ne one help? i would like the same set up but btr parts do they make amps for indevidual speakers?
