AEM Bypass valve with injen cold air intake?

I was wondering if anyone has ever used an AEM bypass valve with a non aem intake? I have an injen and was looking for some added protection.

If it can't work, what AEM CAI should i be using? I don't see one for the Maxima on the AEM website.

It should be fine to use with your Injen. I don't see why it wouldn't be.

I dunno good question. Usually companies dont make parts interchangeable so you have to buy more of their products. Call em they would know

I've been driving with my Injen CAI about half a foot off the ground for 5 years before putting it on my new Maxima. Florida rain, Mississippi downpours, never had an issue. Even without splash guards though I tried to avoid puddles as much as possible. Unless you stick the whole filter in water you won't have problems with hydro-lock.

There is no reason why it wouldn't work. It's simply a 3" inlet and 3" outlet (or whatever size you choose). All of the 4th gen intakes I know of are 3", so it should work

This. You really don't need it unless you are paranoid

all it takes is a little. It might not eff up right then, but over time, performance will decrease. Its not one of those useless products. I saw a 280z today and his CAI was literally right on his bumper and the bumper wasn't much of a bumper either, wide open for air and rain. I asked him, ever had a problem with water? touched the air filter, and perfectly dry on this rainy day. I dont think the water would go directly into the bumper, more so follow the airflow around the bumper. just like over the hood and over the roof. like the Mythbusters lol, drive fast enough and no water will even get in your convertible
