The White Nightmare / Broken K-Frame Studs

Well.... Just got some AWESOME news about my '96.

So two weeks ago I'm replacing the motor mounts, in the process of dropping the crossmember, I snapped the bolts clean off, leaving every thread in the rad support.

My luck continued to 3/4 bolts.

So like a bawss I said fck it, brought another K-Frame and Lower rad support....

Took the car to the body shop and let em have it... Today I get a call....

The nuts holding the K-Frame up.... Took a piece of the stud with em, not once, but twice, so now the white nightmare is REALLY fcked... and well I am stumped as to what to do now, I'm now scouring craigslist for another 4th gen w/ black interior to have everything swapped over from the white nightmare to another car, or other things too.

Any ideas? I can't find anything on courtesy about the inner fender or that frame area so I'm sure the stud can't be replaced. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on what to do I'm open to em.

oh damn. Thats why Ive said certain jobs its easier to let a shop do. Obviously you can do it yourself but when something like this happens, its on you to fix. Thats why I let a muffler shop do my exhaust. The money is cost me is worth it to have not broken any bolts and been without a car for a day.

The shop you took it to didn't have any advice or recommendations? I'm surprised. It's gotta be fixable.

Sucks you're having problems.

It's the studs holding up that part that snapped at the shop.

Alright, I got the car back, man am I happy, they worked some miracles.

Lets just say if anything happens to the k-frame on this car.... It's getting stripped and scrapped cause it's now welded to the chassis.

Also to make matters more fun the Kframe I brought had stripped/crossthreaded holes, that was fun for them to fix.

Annnddd the icing on the cake the starter said fck you guys I'm goin home.

If it's like the rest of the things on this car it IS the original starter from 96

I have a long uphill battle to get this car running smooth again, but hey you get what you pay for

You remember my FB comment about your motor mounts. IT ALMOST CAME TRUE!

And, I thought my car was haunted. Sucks man, hang in there.

I was gonna say weld it of that was it. Seems easier than cutting out the nut plates and welding in new ones. Wonder if its gonna help the ride?
