So I already know the only really growling will be @ WOT on this 4th Gen as well, I've got everything marked still bending the rear muffler hanger hooks and the final welding is close, may have to do this tomorrow....

NICE...Down for Vids....

Almost ready for Vids.....Didn't get a chance to work on it today since I was putting coilovers on a 750 BMW....and the guy needed help really bad!
Gotta weld the hanger rods to the rear muffler, resonator, weld the front section and rear section @ the resonator, and I'm not sure if I want to weld the rear muffler to the ball socket flange or use a SS band clamp!

Well guys! Got the hanger hooks welded on along with all the joint seams...Kinda spend money on a tip that I could have found for 30-40 online but I need a tip right then....I painted the aluminized steel and welds with Hi-temp engine paint to protect it a little longer than just being bare;

sounds a lot better, very similar to mine but a tad quieter. i think the flowmaster was the reason for that raspiness... now add an equal length piece to the y pipe and it'll sound like a proper vq! lol

Drove the 4th Gen yesterday and the day B4, made a few adjustments due to a little heatshield interference and everything is much quieter than the flowmaster/Noisemaster setup it previously had.....and the soot isn't fully coated on the interior of the catback yet...Gotta get a new O2 sensor....on catback picked up one from the boneyard and it is now causing a code, So I'll need to purchase a new O2 sensor.....The part throttle sensitivity has increase and I'll probably invest in some spacers, coilpacks, IACV, E3 spark plugs and a little bit of port matching......

I said I was interested before and am waiting to order but should be shortly. Just to clarify, I CAN get the 3" in T-304? and did you mention the price of it previously and I just forgot. If you prefer to discuss over PM we can do it that way but I figured you would want question/answers on here for future readers

I pretty sure 4th gen ECU's don't do that. Only 5th gen's...Correct me If I'm wrong.

Takes 50+ miles.

00-01 5th gen ecus work the same way ours does (same logic... or lack thereof).

My 99 would misfire @ WOT for some time until it became adjusted to things.

Then again this only applies if you have O2 sensors....

As for the pedal movement.... he's mainly talking about the more availability of power with less pedal movement aka power increased via a catback that makes power and not just noise.

95-99 manual ECU's are all the same? I don't know, I have inconsistent driving habits and I do not notice any performance difference when I feel like being stupid and going WOT randomly. BROSCIENCE MAYBE.

I have 02's

Now Im almost positive the ECU's are NOT all the same as '96 ECU's have more piggyback options and you can only get certain ECU's from JWT as well

You might be right I'm not sure but I know my rear O2 sensor is bad and I might replace all of them and the knock sensor cause I plan on going with El Cheapos Headers straight from Ebay ($130 -$180)

I'm thinking it does do this but not sure, but I do have a bad aft O2 sensor which is monitoring the main cat's condition.....

Be my guest and go FSM diving and see how long the ECU collects O2 sensor data before it makes a correction.... I won't do it that's for sure

I'll recommend you get the biggest muffler you can install at both the resonator and rear muffler locations! 3" exhaust on N/a cars are a little more in volume than most of us know or are use too! Bigger mufflers = quieter riding!

My car is far from N/A I just realized that I can't reuse my resonators and muffler, brain fart lol. I love the sound of my old world speed. I'll figure something out. I have a lot of things to do before I can mess with the exhaust. I have the headers and fastcat on so far though. I have two resonators on my world speed. I can't remember but I think it was over 3 ft. of just resonator, sounded so good! And that was a cali spec with ws y-pipe and hai. From that experience I know this engine can sound beyond good and I was itchin for a 3" ever since.

Why can't you reuse them? If they're welded in...you can cut them right and reuse them.....why is it you feel you can't reuse them?
