really look that car over before dropping that kind of money. 33,000 miles and 12 years old doesnt add up, check to see if it has a salvage title

I'm taking it to my mechanic tomorrow for him to look over. I test drove it and it ran nice and smooth. A lot better than my 98 Max. I think it was an old lady who bought it to go grocery shopping lol there was one owner and no accidents on the carfax.

I sold my 98 Max a month ago or so whenever I first post this thread. Then I came back saying I'm getting rid of the Honda because of the curse. Ended up finding this beautiful 5th gen on a lot and fell in love with it.

dude, my 95's a great runner and looks good too. i just spent 425.00 on her for 2 tires, oil change, and an alignment. but to me, my 231,000 mile max is worth it!!! most reliable car i've ever owned.

I definitely miss my 98 but I'm really looking forward to this 2000. 33,000 miles for a 12 year old car is amazing! I'd be willing to spend over 200,000 miles with her it feels good to be back.

9k for a 2000 is an awful lot of money, regardless of the mileage. These cars aren't rare by any means, unless it's an AE. Even then, that's a lot of money. If you are happy with it though, meh. It's good to see you back in a Max.

My 97 is about to roll over to 260k. It's still going strong.

Really... You think so? Even from a used car dealership? I mean I guess it's quite a bit for a 2000 but I'm new to the 5th gens how can I tell if it's the anniversary editor? Should I provide pics?

I had a similar situation, I first had a 95 maxima, manual transmission, there was nothing wrong with it, no ecl, passed smog first time. I sold it because I wanted something newer, now you guys are going to laugh, I bought a 2004 chevy montecarlo with 61 thousand miles, I drove it 40k while I was in college...needless to say, I sold the montecarlo to my brother for dirt cheap and bought another 95 maxima for 300, replaced the engine with a low mile engine and now I feel happy with a car once again. They're very reliable cars and I sincerely missed the feeling of the max

Same boat as you pretty much. Almost back in the maxi game. I love these cars and I have a good feeling with this one. Someone told me in the beginning of the thread you can't buy a Max with over 150k miles and then baby it. I went from 153k down to 33k miles.

Thanks! I fell in love with it once I saw it. It's very clean and runs great. I'm hoping I'll be able to afford the monthly payments for the loan. That's all I'm waiting on.
