-Coolant hose behind rear valve cover
Where is that coolant hose? I know you said behind the rear valve cover but you know where I can see a picture of the location?

Well, changed out the pressure sensor this morning and it seems the old one was not even tightened all the way. Put the new one in anyway since I had it. Cleaned the area of "our" suspicious leak and put the stop leak in. It says the leak should stop within 200 miles so here's what it looks like now after being cleaned. It'll take me a little over a week to do 200 miles so I'll report back.

That transmission is looking nice and clean.

I'm experiencing another problem. Since changing the transmission oil, my car seems to shift smoothly when cold but gets stiff when the car is all warmed up.

I used Red Line 75w90 MT90 GL-4 gear oil as recommended by most people in this sub-forum. Any suggestions as to why I may be experiencing this?

Man, you can't catch a break. Get one thing fixed, move onto the nxt. Gotta love old cars.

Is it stiff but smooth when warm or stiff and rough shifting when warm? The only thing I could think of if its still smooth is that the gear our is new, thus thicker making it feel stiff. I dunno for sure tho. Maybe start a new thread for that since me and you seem to be just having our own private discussion in this one

So, like I said, changed the oil pressure switch, checked for leaks there today and it dry. One down. The leak near the tranny is still dry as well so ot can't be too major of a leak.

^^^ Give it a few drive and parks and it will return if you didn't replace the half moon seals. That stop leak stuff will give you more problems especially with your timing chain tensioner. Rattling to come....if not already there.

How could that make the tensioner rattle?

i think trini boom is trying to say that the timing chain tensioner will begin to clog up with the stop leak stuff and that it will then not be able to hold/exert enough pressure on the timing chain and that this will lead to timing chain rattle.

^^^ I guess that makes no sense to me. I'll have to Google what the tensioner looks like for that to even begin to make sense. Has that happened to either of you or seen It happen to someone?

Thread revival alert. Just had my Upper pan seals replaced along with front and rear valve cover gaskets and axle seals. Leak seems to be gone so mine was another case of Upper Pan Half Moon seals gone bad.

Bath in brake clean

Edit: Thanks for your advise throughout this whole thread, otherwise, I may have listened to the mechanic and done the RMS for no reason.
