4.5gen is my favorite personally. The 7th gen has started to grow on me. It looks especially good with the right wheels and slammed. To bad it has a stupid CVT.

4TH GEN FTW!!!!

Have a 99 and absolutely love it!! With a 3.5 and 5sp in it, there's even more to love of it!! I find myself liking the 5th gens especially the 5.5. 6th gen is 'meh' to me... I have seen various 7th gens which do not look bad at all but I do have to agree, they are a bit BIG!!

IMO the 4th with the right stuff done to it look the best, the 5.5th gens arent bad either. other than that nissan maximas are becoming more generic and less exciting
