Im pretty sure the second one you pictured is the L side hose and sits on the pass. side of the compressor in a vertical fashion. FSM will show you better than words can

It connects to the evaporator coil. Its behind the glovebox, but the lines connect under the hood at the firewall on the passenger side.

If you are missing that hose, you will need a new dryer, as it will be saturated by the humidity in the air. There may be other contaminants in the system.

A/C systems are kind of hard to deal with yourself. I don't understand half of it but then again I haven't had trouble with mine enough to have to figure it out

Dryer is a small canister (looks like a coke can only a little taller) near the battery. Anytime the A/C system is opened that needs to be replaced as it absorbs moisture in the A/C system and it is probably no longer any good. Your A/C would probably still work ok without replacing it but it will definitely not be as efficient and it is only like $10 on rockauto.com. So once you replace the one line you need and the dryer, then you need to evac the system which you can rent the vacuum pump at autozone, and then recharge (preferrably with U/V dye in the refrigerant so you can see if anything else is leaking).
