1998 Maxima lighting question

Hey guys,

Installing HID's and need to know if my DRL are low beam or high beam?

Don't put hids in 9004 headlight housings. The light output is scattered all over the place and will blind on coming drivers. Retro them to projectors for better safety on the road.

Yeah, HIDs are a no go. I learned my lesson there.

But to answer your question, DRL's are half the voltage of the high beams.

I am putting them in aftermarket headlights and aiming the beam very low, do not plan on blinding people. (Also learned the hard way with stock headlights).

@Chrisman, meaning they are low beam? Kind of confusing question my HID guy asked me, he just said he needs to know if the DRL are low beam or high beam and will have an impact on the price.

Low aiming = no distance lighting. Kind of defeats the purpose of brighter lights.

But no, I mean high beams. Does your car even have DRL's? Most don't..

either way even if the dlr are hal the strength with hids theyre just going to work like normal

Daylight running lights are not headlights. They light up to be seen, not to see.
They are pretty much parking lights that are always on, facing directly forward.

wut happen? i was thinking about putting h.i.ds in my r32 headlights on my 4th gen car is on drop springs stock se wheels do u think i will blind ppl?

Not only will it blind people but you also won't be able to see.
