Quick front wheel bearing question.

sup guys just have a quick question about replacing front wheel pass side bearing. Has anyone ever gotten one off of ebay?? Im asking because the prices are as low as $15 with free shipping. does it matter what brand I get as long as its new? Is there a quality difference in the prices of other brands vs timken brand?? I have to replace this thing asap but trying to keep it reasonable because I will be removing the hub myself, and the shop charges $40 to press in the bearing. 95 max by the way, without abs. Does it matter if it says with abs or without abs?

Why not just buy the whole hub assembly off ebay and save the hassle of having to go to a shop to have them press the bearing? The whole assembly can be had for $50 for one to $80 for a pair. Not sure of the quality of any of these, but somewhere for you to start.

Wait, the whole hub assembly does not come with the bearing already pressed in? Any wheel bearing i have changed on other vehicles did not require me to have anything pressed in. Must be a Maxima thing and i guess I stand corrected....Well, carry on then LOL

If you have been driving with it bad for a very long time, the hub will have to be replaced or you will keep having to change it as you stated.

I bought new bearings and had them pressed in. I wish I had just bought the entire hub with bearing and been done with it.

Well ive only had the car for about a month now, and there were alot of loose front end parts. I didnt notice the wheel bearing noise until recently. After having found loose ball joint and loose axle nuts on both sides i started to feel the looseness n the pass wheel then the noise came with it.

This caused the bad bearing. Both sides will soon be bad. Better bearings will also last longer. Timken or SKF are generally both good brands.
