question of putting on y-pipe

ok, so i finally have decided that i'm getting a y-pipe. i'm not going to ask for your opinions cause i know i can search for that. what i want to know is if i can weld the pipe on myself, if there are any directions for that. i took a sculpture class at my school and we learned how to weld, so i was wonderin if there are any directions here or somewhere else. thanks in advance, tell me if i can do a search for this too.

All the Y-pipes are direct bolt-ons. No welding needed. This gives you the option to remove it in the future. Spray the bolts in advance with WD-40 and let it soak in for a few hours. Just be very careful with the O2 sensors. Good luck and enjoy the added hps!

Good advice above!

Spray on some WD40 or other penetrating oil. Also you might want to get some exhaust gaskets and sealer. (gaskets for sure sealer for added protection). The gaskets should come with the Y pipe (except for Cattman dunno about Stillen).

I also receommend getting some long extensions to reach the bolts and use an impact socket (hexagonal shape) so you do not round off the nuts. If you round off the nut heads you will need a welding torch and pliers to get it off and new nuts to go on.
