You just got your car,the thread is about a 95-99 so that means your car is aproximately 15-19 yrs old. Your engine dies and won't start so I would assume it's age. Really don't know what will cause an engine to suddenly die and not start again

Is a motor out of a 01 a direct swap with ecu or does anything special need wired?

That's a question the seniors who've done an engine swap would have to answer. I doubt anyone does the whole ecu and wire upgrade because it's too expensive and might face issues. My assumption is most engine swaps are done with a direct fit with no special modifications. But i'm sure you'll get an answer soon from the seniors who've done the swap, or you can go in the search colum and type in your question

I'm really just hoping the wiring is all the same and can just plug the new ecu into the original wires and all the original wiring will go back onto the new motor without modification also does the new eco have to
Be for a 5 spd since I am a 5spd.or can It be for an auto?

Lol yah I never seen a pressure plate break like that before but it's getting an ACT clutch kit with a lightweight fidannza flywheel also some new axles and wheel bearings and a new rear main seal and I didn't pay nothing for it I traded an s13 240sx with an s14 Sr20det in it for this car
