From what I know the ones you get now are made in China with cardboard end caps. I've been using WIX for a while, but found this one in my basement. I'd guess it's about 8 y.o. I know peeps with G35's, and their cars came new with made in China oil filters. Sure, I've never heard anyone say that their cardboard ended filter burst, but it's disappointing to know of cost-cutting when the price has gone up.

There's a economic problem worldwide just not in our little corner.....I'll go WIX/NAPA Gold all day long.....

I dunno what happened, but one day on amazon the WIX was only $3, so I got a few. Should have gotten 24! LOL But seriously I only need about 3 per year, and I already have some Purolator (got them free but won't use) and actually some other 9E's made in China....
