no spark possible CKPS POS??
Been working on this issue for quite some time. All fuses good. Replaced almost all sensors, plugs, tested all wires for voltage and ohm from plug to ECU. All good. Power to all coils but no spark. I replaced the POS sensor and checked wires. Did the tesy in FSM and I am getting 8V with key on. When I pass a screwdriver across magnet there is no change. Any ideas???? Oh, Ive been getting codes 0102 AND 0802. The 0102 code for MAF should not come up since it is brand new. 0802 should not come up because it is brand new also. Why wont voltage change when passing screwdriver across magnet? Is there wiring from MAF to POS? If so where and how do I test this?

Crank POS is your problem.....Go to the bone yard and get some sensor for testing only.....I'm sure you might even find new sensors in the junkyard since people normally throw all kind of money at their cars for the wrong problems and then send them to the boneyard! Full of new parts and no clue what their real problem is/was!!!! Search and you'll find....

was thinking that but all the sensors are new. Just found issue with MAF. Took cover off and found copper plate squashed down onto contacts on circuit board. Was running like crap last time I drove it and then parked it like 3 years ago. The code for MAF says something about not getting proper signal from POS making the MAF code come up. Gonna try new MAF even though many on here say it should still run with out it. My theory is if the circuit is bad maybe the reurn signal to POS is messed up and POS telling ECU not to fire plugs. i started another thread about the MAF problem because I was not getting anywhere. Could the new 85 dollar POS sensor be bad? Autozone will not take it back. Be a shame to have to buy another one. I know the MAF is bad so Im gonna try that first. Any ideas are welcome.

if your not getting spark on these cars then its either cam sensor, crank sensor, ecu or bad ground very unlikely all 6 coils are bad. mine ran on 4 cyls after replacing all that i mentioned. turned out our ecu have resitors inside for each coil to fire n two were fried on mine makin it run on 4. Goodluck.

A Year ago, I had a crank but no spark/no engine firing up issue (eventually it fires up when I wait and keep trying to crank - when it does fire up.. it'll run like a champ the from that point on, until it throws another tantrum ) and troubleshoot for a year. Turned out to be the ignition switch. Cheap fix/area to eliminate as issue before going any further.

Already changed ignition switch. Ive tried it all (at least I think). All sensors are NEW. I found issue with the inside of the MAF under the cover and although I know a car will run with out one the FSM states something about the MAF getting signal from crank POS. Anybody know the relationship between the two sensors? I ordered a new MAF and will try it out. If anyone has any suggestion....fire away. The bottom line is the car has no spark.

Turns out that the "new" crank sensor POS that I bought was bad. Took back to AZ and they replaced it no questions asked. Changed out the REF sensor too and then burned out starter. Changed that. Backfiring through exhaust. Replaced injector o-rings but one is leaking now. Going to change it out along with all vacuum lines tomorrow. Sucking air somewhere and I have to find it.
