I have replaced my blower motor and realized that the original was not bad.... I have automatic climate control and it does not work at any fan setting. Anyone else have this problem? please help

If the 2 fuses under the hood for the fan are good, I would think that the fan control amplifier is bad.

Here is a way to repair it (otherwise it is a dealer only item, > $150)..

This is a great link!

Years back my 3rd gen burned up the fan control amplifier and I figured I could fix it. But the 3rd used the older G50 style unit with the NEC transistor and I couldn't find a replacement, just like in the article. After a week or so of searching, I gave up and bought a new amplifier unit from the dealer.

I just had this exact issue with my 99 SE. I found an amplifier at a junk yard for $8 . Does anyone know exactly what causes the amp to go bad? I have read that the blower motor can start pulling too much current and burn up the amp. I am wondering if I should go ahead and replace my motor as well. It seems a little louder than it used to be, but I may just be over listening. Anyone had any trouble with aftermarket motors?

How much did the dealer charge you for the amplifier? I guess I can try to replace it all but if not I will do the dealer route
