Front Jack Point

My 95 GLE has some rust on the lower radiator support, pretty common problem for the 4th gen max. It is not too bad and doesn't like it is breaking off anytime soon. But it worries me every time I jack up the car using the front jack point (the one at the center bottom behind the bumper) as I put all the front weight to the single point. Could anyone confirm that the jack point is supported by the lower radiator support (at least partly) ?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the picture and the link. It is the front jack point in the picture. Is it supported by the radiator lower support?

Yes, if yours is rusted, don't use it.

Before I replaced my cracked lower radiator support I placed the raising jack on the back end of the crossmember bar where it mounts onto the chassis.

When I bought mine I jacked up my car using that cross member. I stopped once I realized and heard all the cracking. Low and behold I had the infamous core support rust. Car was down for a while after that. If your core support is healthy there shouldn't be an issue.

So where did you use as jack point if not the cross member?

There's two tow hooks in the front. I usually use them.
