TPS help

ok im getting a code for the tps. clear code everything is good till the trans switches from 1st to second gear (auto) an bam hard shift check engine light comes on. Everytime no fail.
i have done the trouble shoot in the fsm everything seems to check out. I have 6 throttle position sensors and swapped them all there is no way they could be all bad . Even took my brothers working tps still same deal.
If i unplug the tps nothing happens no change in idle. but it wont throw a code. Also i have a v-afcII and it when i choose to monitor throttle the voltage never changes there is no reading at all . I have the problem with v-afcII hook up or removed.
There is 5 volt at the red wire the ohms check out i checked continuity of the white wire to the ecu and it has it im lost
Any input or insight?????????????
thanks

1997 se auto cali spec vafcII and lc-1 wideband

EC-129-133 is the section in the FSM. Could also be the connectors. Did you test it with the throttle released and throttle depressed?

fixed today

so even thought the signal wire ( white wire ) had continuity from the TPS to the ecu. It was shorted to ground. i back probed the white wire an probed the - post on the battery and had continuity there also i knew that wasnt right so i ran a new wire and all is well
