Changed Transmission...General Thanks

Just figured I would send out a general Thank you to the whole Org on this job. My max is a 5-speed, supposedly the tranny was original to the car (that means 210,000+ miles on it). Output seals were leaking (diff bearings of course), Input seal was leaking plus had a nice growl in neutral (Input bearing toast of course). Along with the axles were getting old (DS boot ripped apart). About a year ago I picked up a used tranny in good condition from an orger, I was just being lazy in getting to this job because at least everything was running. Finally got to it last week. Read through all the DIY writeups here on transmission and clutch changes (Searches are your friend, as you can note that I didn't post any new thread for how to get this done), plus I have that copy of the FSM that is linked around here. Got the trans out on Saturday (the 6th), then ended up breaking the only good position sensor that I had. Dealer only part, got the new one on Thursday and that evening the car was out for a test ride. Did it all myself, the 800-lb capacity Harbor Freight trans jack works great (NO WAY would I use this thing if I changed trannies every day, but for home use once in a blue moon, win!). And just figured a big Thank you for all the write-ups on here plus various parts I've picked up here was in order! So, anyone new, don't despair a big job like the tranny can be done with all the advice here and a few of the right tools (air impact helped bust a few things loose, but for the most part it was all basic hand tools). Thank you to the whole org, very much, it's great to have a car this old still on the road for ultimately a reasonable cost. Thanks!

Glad to hear man. Its inspiring to hear how our work contributed to saving another 4th gen on the road for years to come at an affordable rate...very low maintenance...except for rust now.
