Throttle body question
I took out my TB today to clean it. I noticed that it was set so that the butterfly was not completely closed i.e you can see light around the edges. I checked the drop of paint (white and red on mine) on the 2 adjustment screws and it appears that they have not been tampered with - so apparently set like this at the factory. Also I noticed there were some lines which look like adjustment marks which don't line up - see pics below.
There are 2 adjustment screws - the one shown in the second picture has a gap between it and the stop (not doing anything), it is the one in the 4th pic which is in contact. I was under the understanding that these were never to be touched.
Is this how it should be?

The butterfly should be slightly open at idle...How else would your engine run if the butterfly was close 100% the engine would suffocate....I wouldn't touch a thing just clean it and leave it only, b4 you open a can of worms.....GL

The TB is being held open by the cold idle plunger. If you look closely at the throttle stop, it's not sitting on it. There is a procedure for adjusting it, however, if your not having any issues, leave it alone. The two scribe marks can be set to line up. Turn the adjustment on the cold idle plunger only until the scribe closest lines up.
