hid's stopped working ///

for some reason, the hid's did'nt kick on after i stopped to pick up some stuff at the store. i pulled the 15 amp fuses and 1 looked blown so i replaced it. still nothing, don't know what else to check other than maybe under the dash or a relay? i don't hear the ballast's pop on when i turn the switch either. i noticed lately that when i turn on the high beams the headlights go off completely and i have to switch the lights off and back on to get them to work. what's going on?? thanks

ddm hid tuning/ 4300k kit edit: just went out to look at wiring harness, just checked to make sure everything was connected and they popped back on!! wtf, i looked at the chopped up wiring job the guy did, ( another orger from 3 years ago ) and would'nt be surprised if that was part of the problem. at least i know the fuses are working. what could've came loose to make them go off like that?

Any loose or corroded connection can cause that. Wires that are spliced should be soldered then shrink wrapped or electrical tapped.

agreed Solder and heat-shrink is the BEST way to ensure a good connection.

well, all wires were good, the ground was a tiny bit loose to the battery, and one of the fuses was blown, replaced fuse, tightened ground, all good!!!
