Found a place to mount switches

Ok, i'm about to do the drop resistor mod on my 98SE and i needed a place to cleanly mount a lighted rocker switch. I wanted it close to the shifter. Btw, i have an auto tranny. Lol

When i popped up the bezel around the shifter, i noticed 2 rectangular shapes on the bottom side of it...1 on each side. I drilled out a basic rectangle and filed it square then snapped my switch in the hole. I like the way it looks. I don't have pics yet...will do so later. It makes me think the I30 might have options for a switch in these spots. Can anyone confirm this?

Hope this helps.

I have heated seat switches in front of the arm rest already. These particular outlines are on the underside of the black plastic bezel that snaps around the shifter under the ash tray. You have to remove the bezel and flip it over to see rectangular outlines on the sides. It just made sense to me since i needed the switch near the shifter and clean looking. I used the outlines as a basic guide to cut the hole for the rocker switch. I'll put up a pic soon.

I learned recently that some Euro Maximas have switches that are somewhere near there that controls the transmission / suspension settings...perhaps that is the outline of the cutouts for those?

This.

The heated seat buttons are not part of the shifter trim/bezel. They're part of the huge center console that's one piece.
