did u replace both crank sensors? one next to the oil filter and one on the flywheel. Use oem sensors and use oem sensor for cam position sensor as well. Those sensors rarely ever fail but if u got a code but if u got a code for them I guess there broke.

no ive only replaced the crank censor on the flywheel, not the one near the oil filter, think that may b the problem is the other crank censor? the computer also called for knock censor but i wouldn think that would have any affect on it not starting.

Replace the one on the flywheel because that's the sensor that tells the ecu to send spark to coils and tells the cylinder when to fire and that sensor will cause the starting problem you are experiencing.

It would but the OEM sensors will work best with your ecu and the aftermarkets won't.

cam and crank position censor problems starting

i heard the starter sends signals to the computer and while cranking the starter wire starts to smoke, could a burnt or bad connection to starter possibly have an affect on the computer not letting it get fire

Never heard of that. Best if u try that sensor first and if u do put back your original cam position sensor back in.

Is this true? Even if its a reputable aftermarket brand like Bosch, can others chime in on this, any experience with these particular aftermarket sensors?

Yes. I once bought a crank position sensor for my car from auto zone which was aftermarket my car started to misfire at idle. Bought a aftermarket mass air flow sensor my car started to run lean and got a code and the mass air flow sensor was from Bosch as well.

Does the car crank on the first try yes or no. If it doesn't it could be a bad ignition switch if it does crank then it could be something to do with your idle adjustment. What does your car idle at when it is all warm and ready to go.

im not a 100% on "crank" and "turn". basically, when i first turn the key it tries to start and makes the noise but takes a few secs to start or doesnt. When warm it idles at 600-700. i'll make a sound recording with my phone tom.

When you record the video, record the rpm idle gauge from inside the car so I can see where the idle sits. Also record the idle air control valve from under the hood and record the black screw that's on the idle air control valve so I can see where it is at.

Cam and crank position censor problems starting

Well I've replaced both crank sensors and the cam sensor and still won't crank, idk what else to do, any ideas out there? I've checked all the fuses and and relays, it's not gettin fire to spark plug. It tried to start once for like 2 secs but went dead like out of gas, but it's gettin fire to injectors and gas from filter to motor?

Post video that we can hear, inside and outisde the car. That's the quickest way for a lot of us to tell what kind of problem you don't have.

Did you test your sensors? Sometimes an old one still works, and a new one doesn't. You have to test them or swap them with one that you *know* works. The service manual tells you how to test each sensor.
