I hit the curb and the curb won

Hey guys gals others. Tell you a long story short I hit a curb head on for the most part and the wheels pushed 3inch back from where it should be the toe seems to be ok it just rubs when I turn. The control arm metal is chipped and looks bent I plan to replace this and will post pics when I can. My question is do I need to replace both they look newish And the last owner said he replaced them, also could the strut be bent as well or what should be my recourse for this boo boo if anyone knows of a good control arm write up or which control arm is my best bang for buck that would be awsome thanks guys

Same happened to mines, I hit a curb bad with my front left wheel, ****ed up the whole toe! My driver wheel was pushed in bad, eating up my tires and the car kept pushin to the left until I took to a mechanic and fixed it for 175 he didn't replace it or fix it a 100% but close enough....he did some modding to my control arm and strut....still gotta get it fixed for 300 parts included....new control arm and new strut

I would take it to a trust worthy shop. Jave them put it on an alignment rack. They can figure out it there is damage beyond the control arm. Then go from there. Because it would suck to replace the control arm take it to get it aligned just to find something else is boggered up, and lots of places will check it for free

You should only need repairs to the damaged side. No doubt the lca is bent, but do go to a frame/collision shop to make sure that the lca is to only damage. The strut is probably OK as the top mount is designed to allow movement, but a frame shop knows to check this out also.

When my bride miscalculated the turning radius once our our max. and tried to flatten a curb with the right front wheel she rashed up the wheel, tore a hunk of rubber out of the sidewall of the tire causing a small explosion and a cloud of dust. A few weeks later the strut was toast. As the seal got whacked as well. But, but the important thing here is she wasn't late to a Brownie meeting.

Rick glad you are alright. Check everything out or have everything checked out. The group deals for the 4th gen controls arms are attractive. I think they are from FCP. I've been running a full front suspension kit from them for 23K miles with out issue with stock wheels (one rashed up) and springs as this is a daily driver.

I know I will need a alignment rack it's just getting the lca in so I can drive it to the rack. I drove her home no problem I'm really happy I did not slam my car I'd be so screwed haha. Also the guy before me put in a after market wheel and it was off center to the wheels anyone got any clues on you or anyone know how to fix this. Some one told me I need to adjust the tie rods

hub and bearing, possible axle, and strut, may need rack as well if its leaking. also new rack boots as well for the inner tie rods.

OUCH!!! Been there with a concrete construction barrier bro. Any alignment shop worth their salt will be able to tell you what you need to replace. Once you find out what parts you need they're usually cheaper on Rockauto if you don't mind waiting for them to be shipped. Good luck!

Replace the steering hub/knuckle

I will also just replace the steering hub and bearing, buy a complete set from ebay or salvage yard.
This what I did replace first when this had happened last time to my vintage 1996:
(only on the one side that got Hit!)
Front strut
Tie Rod
LCA with new ball joint
After installing all those my right front wheel still has a crooked positive chambers, and I looked into the steering hub which looked okay. I ran out out of idea and determine the hub/steering knuckle must be bent eventhough I could not detect it visually. I then replace the steering hub with a salvage part and all lined up.
Make sure you do alignment at the end. Good luck.

Excessive was another term but this one in such a worse shape that's I have to call it crooked (because it's so evil)

Hang in there man....When I did it to my car, it was out of action for almost 2 months because I try to do all the repair myself except the wheel alignment. It's also happened right before Thanksgiving.
Sorry could not help you in the splash guard thingy.
