High Idle At Cold Start

High Idle At Cold Start
Hey org.
This could be a really easy solution, or a real pain in the ***.
When I cold start in the morning I idle 1500 to 2000.
When it's warmed up, it goes down to a normal idle around 700-900.
It's not a big deal to me and doesn't effect my driving, but it's annoying because it's not normal.
Any ideas or solutions?

You can bring it down slightly by adjusting the fast idle linkage. It's located under and to the left on the throttle body. Follow the plunger and linkage, you'll see the adjustment screw. You can back it down to around 1500 when you start cold.

Thanks yall! I appreciate the quick responses. Thing is when I first got the car 2 years ago it never did this... But then again, I had a CEL before that I fixed (EGR clogged, MAF was dirty). But if it's normal I wont mess with it.

What do you mean 'not normal'? In cold weather mine starts at around 1500 and goes down to 600-700 when it gets warmed up. My 94 Isuzu Pup and 99 Monte Carlo behaved similarly in cold weather, as does my sisters 01 Neon and my mothers 00 Sentra. I have fairly long list if you need more.

Must agree here. I have two 4th gens in NY and in the teens, both of my 4th gens do not cross 1500RPM at cold start. 2K is definitely a problem and should not be idling at 900 at warm. You should be at 650RPM +/- 50RPM according to FSM.
