Hats off to member pmohr

I have a 98 GLE and my bose H/U has the usual display problem, ive tried in the past to take it out and do the resistor fix, but i wasnt sure how to pull the vent out without breaking it so the project got shelved.....anyway i have used pmohr vids in the past so i pm'ed him and asked if he was planning on doing one on taking the head unit out well that was just 3 days ago....and bam within a cpl days he did one....i know many of you probably have taken you bose out and found it easy but for a 1st timer the vid is gonna be a big help! anyway i am now gonna order a few resistors from radio shack and atempt the fix as soon as i get time!!
thanks again pmohr!
heres the link
Now i have a question i hope someone can tell me which one of these resistors are th one i need, or will either one work?

I haven't seen him on the org recently. Glad to hear he's still around. He has been super helpful to me in the past as well! Sorry, can't help with the resistor question other than to say as long as the resistor fits and its the same resistance value then it should work just fine.

Anyone who has been around the org for a while knows that Pmohr has a vast, in-depth knowledge of the Maxima. Between his posts and his how-to videos, he has probably helped more people than anyone else.

To answer the resistor question, get the one that 5%. This is the +/- tolerance of the resistor. If not stated, the tolerance is 10%.

god... bose

...well i just tried to take apart my bose, i was gonna follow the madchef instructions ..even tho i have the 98-99 bose h/u(madchef shows the 95-96 bose) i figured it would be relatively the same....but nope! i took it apart very carefulley and it was quite different but do-able anyway i couldnt find a resistor that looked like the ones on the madchef site...so i wasted about 2 hrs of my time...anyone ever fix the 98-99 bose display?

update: After reassembly i reinstalled it into my max and the display is working perfect ...i dont know why ....maybe one of the board plugs werent seated tight?anyway not complaining
