99 Max low beams inop

I am trying to assist my GF and her son from long distance. The low beams are out and I want them to check the fuse. Where is the fuse box on a 99 Max and is it covered with a chart? Thanks all

Stupid question. But are you sure the low beams arnt just burned out? I believe the bulbs have two filaments for high and low beams

Yes, don't rule out the obvious, check the bulbs first.

The car uses 2 fuses for the headlights. They are located under the hood between the battery and the fender. The cover is labeled H/LAMP RH and H/LAMP LH.

But as the labels imply, one fuse is for the right headlamp and the other is for the left headlamp. That means that a fuse powers both the high beam and low beam.

And that would mean that you have 2 blown fuses and no high beams as well as low beams.

Check the bulbs, check the fuses.

You wouldn't live in Canada by chance? Sounds like a bad DRL module.

Check your connector for power with a VOM....It's possible that your light switch/stalk assy is defective.......
