96 Maxima EVAP Question!!!!

I'm having a P1447 code and I was inspecting around the canister and found this. What is the name of the part with the red arrow? What does it do? Also, does the hose connect to it or somewhere else? Please help!!!!!!

Ignore the part with the red arrow, but that hose is supposed to be attached.
Iirc, that hose is supposed to connect all the way back up to the engine bay.

Is there anybody that can take a pic of that area and post it? It is a short hose, it has a broken nipple still attached. I can't see any other place for it to go besides where the red arrow is pointing to. I think the hose is attached to the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor....I think!!! Can't even find it on the diagrams on Courtesyparts.com or Nissanpartzone.com, but I can enter the part #22370 on CourtesyParts.com and it pulls up the sensor.

The broken nipple may be part of a plastic Y connector - one output goes to the pressure sensor the other to a piece of vac hose attached to a steel line that runs past the gas tank.

Check EC page 25 for diagram.
