Cattman use to sell a very high quality one for less then $50. I would try calling him to see if he still has them available.

I had a Z32 MAF for my maxima that had a small aluminum Injen brand adapter on it. I sold it with the MAF though when I decided to stay N/A.

There used to be a guy in the GD section selling a nice metal one (orange in color) for around $40-$45 about a year ago or so. Haven't seen him around in a while...

Pretty sure our adapters are 3".

Thanks for the replies all. Im looking for an aluminum one because my cheap ebay plastic adapter sucks. The flange tends to flex which causes a hairline crack in the seal, letting unfiltered air into the engine.

I know for a fact there is a link on this forum from only a few months back where a website sold the aluminum ones i just cant find the damn thread.

^^that ring on the Popcharger is a MAF adapter that works as a velocity stack and fits a 6" wide filter.

^both of them don't really fit the context of this thread.

OP is looking for a MAF adapter, not a HAI that comes with a MAF adapter.

Nor are they looking for custom piping/retrofitting their existing MAF.

Would going with the 4 and getting a reducer be a good option?

IMO, no. The MAF is the limiting reagent size wise. Going from the 4" adapter to the 3" MAF will have a step, which will create turbulence. Turbulence is never a good thing, especially 2" from the MAF sensor itself. This is why people get velocity stacks (to smooth out the airflow and get as much air in as possible), but that's a whole 'nother subject.

Not to stray off topic but to satisfy my curiousity, essentially in laymans terms you would want the smoothest airflow to ward off "choppiness"? Like it would be vaguely similar to if you had your injectors squirting irregular but similar quantities of fuel, forcing the car to make tiny adjustments constantly?

Thats a whole new ballpark for me and likely one ill never step foot in but the whole theorycraft and science behind it seems very interesting to me.
