Front turn signals don't blink

I went to put in some cheap *** LEDs for the front turn signals, hoping they would work. Turns out they light up but didn't blink,
so I put the old ones back in, and now they don't blink. They light up no problem. The rear turn signals work, whether it's turning
or on hazards. Fuse is fine, hazard works. Only the front signals are the issue. Would should I check for? A relay box?

I searched but didn't find an exact answer.

Would getting LED resistors fix the problem?

easiest just to get an LED flasher RELAY and swap it. Under the steering column.

Also, with the 4th gen, our turn signals are wired backwards. So you need something other than the cheap LEDs. Talk to Fakie Farkerton (PM him), he's done this correctly iirc. I know many others have as well. Search around and you'll find the details.

I got my led relay from super bright LEDs site and it specified in the ad you could use them for regular or LEDs.

The negative and positive are swapped on the front.

That isn't an issue for your old incandescent bulbs, but is for the LEDs.

Just cut the wires and wire them up swapping both wires to the other color on each side.

I recommend soldering and shrink tubing.

Oh, btw, I do NOT recommend resistors.
