so I really don't know too much about this thing other than the fact it leaks oil like none other from the top of the motor and somewhere else. it has about 245,000 miles on it orig. motor. orig. tranny. the poor thing is tired and has engine ticks and a small knock sometimes, the tranny doesn't like to shift (automatic) til about 4500 rpm. now this is my moms car (Nissan isn't really my forte as you've probably gathered.) she thought it would be smart to take it to pep boys to get a tune up and get the leaks fixed and a tranny service, spent 2000$ doing so and now the problems are worse, the leaks went from 2 different leaking spots to 3 and the tranny feels like it doesn't wanna shift because it feels like there's too much fluid in it. any advice? idk what to tell her or where to start it help or suggestions would be appreciated. thanx.

I would check your valve cover gaskets and the camshaft position sensor o-ring which can go bad and leak oil from the timing cover. Also it could be coolant leaking somewhere and mixing with grease to make it look like oil. Check hose as we'll. also wash your car from there are that leaks.
