aftermarket bucket seats
Hey. I had a question for everyone. I've got a 96 Max SE. I've done a little suspension work and am going to do new shocks and struts too. The problem is that while the car will be planted well on the road, I don't think I will. Already through turns, I notice I slide a little in my seats. I drove my friends Jetta VR6 last night and his suspension is comparable but that car has NICE bucket seats (stock) that hug the driver and keeps him/her from going anywhere when approaching turns quickly. I was going to put leather in my car, but now I want to know if anyone knows of bucket seats that would fit in our car. Then I can wrap those and the rest of the car with leather. Any info you have is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

yeah the stock seats could support a lot better, but if you are sitting in the correct position and have you hands in the correct place on the wheel then you can hold yourself in place through the hardest of turns... it also helps me to have the wheel set to the lowest position.

Ok. I'll try that out first. Thanks everyone. I still have cloth Cyrus. But I am putting in black leather this spring/summer.

If you're going to take the seats out to install leather, why not do a seat transplant? Something like black Prelude seats are not hard to find and should be much better than our seats.

Also, my driver's side seat is electric (passenger is manual). If I put the Prelude seats in, I will lose that electric power on the driver's side, right? Or can that be transferred? If not, it's no big deal. I figure the less gadgets I have, the less that can break down later in the car's life.

I would guess the mounting brackets for the seats into the floor won't match up with my factory holes, will they?
