Hi guys, first time posting here,
Got a 97 maxima and having some problems with it.
Car stalls after 10-15 mins driving. it only stalls when stopped at light or stop sign. never when driving. Rpm shows 5.5 when stopped and 6.5 when parked.

Check engine light reading shows these 2 error codes; p1105 and p0325.
I already cleaned MAF sensor.

what do you guys think? What should i try?

Thank you in advance.

Hi again,
Today i was looking at the wiring under the hood and saw 3 wires going into tps connector was almost broken. This thing connects to boost sensor. I was thinking maybe this is the reason why check engine light is on and car stalls at stops. Can anyone help me? Where can i get a new connector and connect the wires?

thanks

Junkyard.

Post a picture with photobucket. You may be able to repair your current one.

If you have a code for the MAF, again junkyard for Oem. Aftermarket MAFs are typically not worth the trial.

P1105 is for your MAP, so you may be on the right path with those wires being chewed up.

Also, check to make sure there are no splits in the hose connected to it.

Download the FSM in my sig,
It is the cheat sheet for our cars.
Has everything you need to know.

It is possible to resolder what you have and use some heat shrink tubing to protect it, but if it were me, I would hit the junkyard so I had some more wire to work with.

What happened to those wires?
Yikes.

That sucks.
Don't give up yet!

Try a new map/ junkyard then clear your codes and drive until you see new ones if any.

Bad MAF sensor, Cam sensor or Crank sensor!!!!! Depends on what you find not working...Is it losing spark, fuel, etc...Then you 'll know where the fault lies....You need to troubleshoot a little more...

You just got the car, now you're going to sell it? Because of this problem?
All older cars will have eventually have some issues over time...I say stick with it and fix it; your problem I bet will be an easy and cheap fix in the end. A good used MAF will cost you $40 here on the Org, probably half the cost if you go to the junkyard yourself. The other sensors mentioned are easy to replace and cost only $10 used. Check for worn out vacuum lines too.
