Replaced Upper Oil Pan Seal - No start after?

I have been working on my upper oil pan leak the last couple days (wasnt that bad of a job)

I followed the write up: http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...n-removal.html

No major problems along the way except; I broke the tensioner bolt, and the lower oil pan leaked. Both were easy fixes.

Now I have everything back together and I'm getting no start, and (to my untrained ear) what sounds like a metal-on-metal noise.

I dont want to keep hunting "possible" issues and potentially make any simple error into a serious problem.

The only ideas I have:

--- I damaged one or both of the CKPS sensors which could affect start (all I did was remove, place in plastic bags, and hang them in the shed till I reinstalled).

--- Belt tension is wrong? would this even cause a no start issue?

--- only put in 3.5 quarts of oil, which I think is low, as having had both the pans off. This might account for the metal noise, but not the no-start.

Anyone run into a similar experience or have some advice?

Are the sensor plugs in good shape? Can you post a video with the noise?

Any blown or disconnected fuses like the fuel pump?

I had mine all torn apart then put it back together and it started up.

wow... fixed it. was getting an p0340 code. swapped three different cam sensors and one CKPS (REF) i finally jacked up the car to look at the CKPS (POS). i manage to put the little metal shim on under the sensor versus over it. and thats all it took. car starts!

I did the same thing after a clutch install.
