I have a 1995 Maxima SE manual and I believe my rear motor/tranny mount has gone bad. When I step on it in 5th gear or change gears hard, it shakes for second before the power is put the ground and the car accelerates. 257,000 miles.

My questions: Am I correct about the rear motor mount?

And also, Are there any aftermarket motor mounts that improve performance? And where to find them?

Pop your hood and place your parking brake on...and slip the clutch enough to load up the engine and watch if it moves and how much! Do the same in reverse as well!! Energy Suspension sells a poly front and rear motor mount for your car...the passenger and transmission side can be filled with 3M Window Weld....or contact "Red Lion Racing".

Only get aftermarket OEM style mounts if you plan to poly fill them.

ES or RL mounts would be a nice upgrade.
