eBay obx long tube headers vs warp speed

Here's the thing. I've got a 1998 Infiniti i30 w/120k the y pipe NEEDS to be changed. Warpspeedperformance.com has a aluminized steel y pipe with no pre cats for 275. I trust warp speed. Otherwise on eBay I have found obx racing sports long tube headers with y pipe for about 325. It's a great deal but I'm confused as the only posts on this forum about them are from like 2005 and 2007. There are a lot of reviews I went through some good some bad although I hoped they improved since almost a decade ago. I honestly know nothing of welding but would like to take on the job. So here is the point of the post.
Warp speed - reliable part that's cheaper on the buy more expensive for the one part and easy to install vs
Obx - somewhat unknown part that is much cheaper because headers are included and may pose a problem on installation
Also is it possible to install the obx headers with the warp speed y pipe? Any information would be greatly appreciated

I'd skip the installation headache of OBX and go with Warpspeed. They're tried and true.

No you can't mix and match the two companies products.

I'd go with the WS y-pipe also. The only drawback is Dallas no longer makes them SS as I purchased 5 years ago. If you purchase the WS aluminized y-pipe I'd suggest coating it with VHT ceramic exhaust primer and paint to extend it's life.

I recently coated my new catback system with VHT SP110 ans SP117.

Thanks for the tip, I was worried about the aluminized non ss thing. Ill be going with the warp speed to confirm my initial guess. Just wish I can find compatible headers. I can deal with the smell it's been stinking up the cabin as it is already 😵 it'll be a nice change.

The OBX headers will sound a lot better if you get the equal length versions, they are a B1TCH to install. if you are just looking for something quick and easy just get a y-pipe save yourself the headache.

I've had a problem with OBX from day 1 after installing a couple of sets and having to butcher up their car to install is BS and the fact that they have a tendency to fail due to cracks or flex section failure is also a testiment on how bad they fit....Anything forced to fit and installed under tension or stress will fail prematurely!!!! Invest in the WS Ypipe and either ceramic coat it or Duplicolor High temp (1200*F) engine paint or VHT is the real deal!
