Does the blower still work when the ECON button is selected?

On both of my Infiniti vehicles with auto climate control, the ECON button turns off the A/C compressor -- however the blower continues to circulate air.

Econ does not run the ac compressor. Use it when the temp is below freezing for heat or ventilation only.

Your ECON button is working perfectly. It's attempting to give you more fuel economy by forcing the belt driven AC compressor to stay off.

Yeah, I guess the best way to describe the ECON button is that it does, or tries to do, everything the AUTO mode does, but never lets the AC compressor turn on.

Yes..I've never knew or even touched the econ button before I read this thread. Used it today, actually worked just as good as using the auto option in 19 degree weather.

Unless the temperature gets over 75 degrees, I run with ECON on most of the time.

It seems like my gas didn't go down as much/fast compared to when I use the auto option. Givin I was driving like a grandpa tonight.
