95 Maxima-Ghost issue at 35-40mph-3rd gear issue?

Very strange one here.

1995 Maxima SE, Automatic Transmission

Car starts/runs fine. Issue is with acceleration and seems particularly pronounced around 38-42mph and near 2000 RPM in 3rd gear (I believe).

The car will be accelerating fine and then in essence stumble or plateau, even if giving a little more gas. It will eventually come back to the power band, but while the symptoms show, it is almost like it is losing the ability to gain additional power. It does not over-rev like when a transmission is slipping. It is just like a plateau until it kind of softly surges back to accelerating

Also when decelerating in the same range, 38-42 mph +/-, if I take my foot off the accelerator, I can feel a light bucking. It is almost like the car is bumping in and out of gear.

I have checked coil packs and fuel injectors, all test fine.

I can go from idle to 3000-4000 RPM in both 1st and 2nd gear very smoothly, no surges, no power loss, no hesitation.

It really feels like an issue at the low end of the 3rd gear banding.

Is there a specific solenoid or transmission control valve or vacuum related part that would be a likely suspect? Any diagnostic advice?

I'm at a loss as the car has been running great and this is such an isolated issue.

Many thanks in advance for ideas/advice!

My 5mt does this after upshifting at around 35-45mph.

Power Loss to A Cylinder

I hate when people don't post the resolution, so here was mine. It was running essentially on five cylinders due to a bad coil pack. Disconnected one by one while idling and found the one that did not change idle when unplugged and realized that cylinder was not being fired. Replaced that coil pack and it drove fine again.
